I'm a gay, progressive, political blogger, born & bred in New York. I started blogging because I was really pissed off at what 8 years of Bush/Cheney did to my country. This is not the America I was brought up to believe in. It's going to take a generation to repair their damage. My intent with my blog (thejoshuablog.com) is to aggregate news from a progressive viewpoint; not to defend my beliefs or debate conservathugs on the validity of their warped worldview. Oh, and I like to curse.

I love writing, painting and photography, but haven't done much of it lately. I enjoy classic movies and I watch way too much TV. I like to cook, but also like to eat out, order in and trains. I like riding trains. Go figure.
