Let's get one thing straight, acoustic music does not have to be someone sitting down and whining about how their girlfriend ran off with someone else!

Right, with that out of the way, it's safe to tell you that The Haiku are an acoustic band. Comprising of Phil (responsible for Acoustic Guitar, Vocals, and jumping around like a mad thing) and Bert (responsible for hitting them drums and looking cool in a hat and beard combo), The Haiku make music which is highly energetic, and yet incredibly melodic, apparently playing music in the gerne that is called "Antifolk". They like to drink beer (or cider) and have a cheesy chips fixation.

The Haiku were formed out of the ashes of the band Harvey in February 2006 (having been together with Harvey since 2003). They brought with them the raw acoustic vibes of their former band, and having spent a good while watching Rock and Metal bands, decided to inject that sort of energy into the music they wanted to create. The result is a wonderfully accessible mix of all sorts of genres.
