About The Greenmatics
Dance music that's not dance, catcy music that's not pop and pop music that doesn't make sense.

The Greenmatics make live electro / dance / pop for the masses.Hailing from all over the world, the band stumbled across each other in Melbourne, Australia in 2006 and the trio has been rocking venues across Australia and New Zealand since.
In New Zealand The Greenmatics had four singles reach number 1 in various Top 10 Radio countdowns. They received a nomination for Most Promising New Act in the 2005 bNet Music Awards and had their number 1 hit Wait No More remixed by Ryan Beehre (Minuit, Funkn Slocuts) and a tour of New Zealand led to nationwide television coverage.
With this success still fuelling her, Green (Mel Smith) needed to get out of her Christchurch bedroom and into the big bad world. She headed for Australia with a synth under her arm and a love for her music driving her to break the Australian market.
In Melbourne, she found 2 musical soul mates formed an electro band with the personality, beats and knowledge to break the big city. They made an appearance on Circuit Breakers Vol.1 put out by NSW based Light Sounds and released their Out of Limbo EP. Onstage, they acquired plenty of retro electro gear, and have been cutting some seriously groundbreaking live shows.
Now back from their East Coast Tour of Australia, The Greenmatics are currently working on their debut album with Brian Canham (Pseudo Echo frontman), due for release in 2009.
Are you excited? They are.
