Learn how to play Smokestack Women on electric guitar with this free online instructional youtube tutorial video. This is part 2 and covers the chorus/bridge. It's basically a "by ear transcription" that i did but i checked out a video or 2 to make sure it's accurate. Nevertheless it could very well be that Joe Bonamassa plays certain chords or riffs with a different fingering but overall it should be pretty ok... (when i did the tab by ear with the cd i had a slightly different riff than what i explain here. Live Joe seems to play this riff and because on the cd things are not always that clear i decided to take this riff for the video)
Chances are that I don't cover each and every variation but this tutorial should give you a solid base for those few alterations that are played in the original song.

"1993. One of the first songs written for our album "Full Moon, Dirty Hearts". Jon had written the music and Michael wrote the lyrics. An interesting lyric of Michaels, cryptic and ambiguous. "One of my personal favourite INXS videos ever. Another one of Richard's clever concepts partly shot in Melbourne and the rest in Sydney in May of 1993. I like the way the picture keeps exploding at you (the viewer) and breaking like glass, into pieces. Everything keeps coming at you, including us. We all had masks made of our faces that were painted blue ("blue-screen") so that we could change and remove our faces. I think shooting that particular scene, was the longest time I've ever kept still in my life. It was pretty ahead of its time technically as well. I think everyone in the band looked really strong image-wise and I was obviously going through my "religious leader phase". This video (and song) seems pretty relevant in our current world climate.
