When Ryan Kean (Vocals) headed down to the local music shop one Hollywood afternoon, he never expected to stumble on a singer wanted posting that actually would intrigue him. The posting was an opportunity to work with Hit Single song writer/producer Tobias Karlsson (Carolina Liar, Max Martin). Ryan tore down the entire posting off the wall and called Tobias that afternoon. Not long after a friendship had formed and they began working in the studio and writing together.
In December 2008 Jon Hastings (Drummer) was playing a show in a Downtown Hollywood venue and was invited around the corner to grab a drink at a local bar. While there Jon met Ryan and the two became friends. The conversation quickly turned to music. Ryan told Jon he was looking for a drummer. And after hearing one song. Jon took off the headphones and said "I'm down!"
Soon after, Jon called on his long time friend and multiple time band mate Wayne Miller (Bass) to join the group on Bass. After hearing the few demos the group had already put together, Wayne was eager to join in and get involved. However, the final element and key component to Clockwork was still missing.
Wayne had just finished playing Bass on tour with a Sony Epic Artist where he'd spent several month sharing the stage and getting to know James Bowen (Guitar). Wayne knew instantly that James would be a perfect match with the sound and vibe of the group. After that first song was played, on the first day of practice, All 4 of the guys looked at each other and knew something special had just happened. A musical connection that none of them had felt for years was just unearthed.
