My name is Keith Kessinger.
I am a solo artist/multi-instrumentalist/songwriter more than anything else but I have also been the singer for THE SUPERFREAKS (disco tribute band) since 2000. We also do an 80's tribute band called STAR 80's featuring JOE ALFARO (LITTLE GREEN STUDIOS owner) on guitar,Chuck Legend on bass or my brother CONWAY KESSINGER on bass and DANIEL ALFARO (BULLETBOYS/TOTAL CHAOS) on drums.

I am a private music teacher (drums,guitar,bass,piano,violin and vocals) and have been teaching since 2002. I released my last solo record in 2008 on DOUBLE PLATINUM records.

I am also the owner of CRUSHED VELVET STUDIOS (video/audio recordings) and also features a showcase room.

1994 to 2000: I worked for PERFECT WORLD ENTERTAINMENT (PWE), which is a tribute band company and had the great fortune to perform with many talented musicians. This company housed some well know talent such as JEFF SCOTT SOTO (JOURNEY/YNGWIE MALMSTEEN), all the members of STEEL PANTHER, BRIAN YOUNG ( from DAVID LEE ROTH band), RAY LUZIER from KORN, CHRIS OLIVAS (BERLIN),JASON ORME (ALANIS MORRISETTE) and the list goes on,,,,,,,

1994:I played in DISCO INFERNO and have subbed for, BOOGIE KNIGHTS,BOOTIE QUAKE

1997: KNIGHT FEVER(disco tribute for PWE) which featured RALPH SAENZ (STEEL PANTHER/L.A. GUNS), MELVIN BRANNON (EDGAR WINTER/ DAN REED NETWORK,SEAL) and RAY LUZIER (DAVID LEE ROTH/KORN,SEAL).

1999 to 2000: I played with chicago disco tribute band "THE AFRODISIACS.

1997 to 1999: I played with 80's tribute band FAST TIMES.

1998: I played with Grammy award winning, singer/songwriter SEAL.

1997: I played in funk tribute band "DR. FUNKENSTEIN for PWE.

I also put out a solo record as "S IS FOR SPACE" in 1995 on Chicago indie label T.O.W. records.

1992 to 1994: I was also signed to a major label (SONY/RELATIVITY) with a punk,metal band called THE EX-IDOLS. I released an E.P and a full length L.P. 1991 to 1992: I was in a local hollywood band called IMAGINE WORLD PEACE. We have been doing reunion shows once a year in hollywood during the summer.

1989 to 1991: Moved from National City (East San Diego) to L.A. and formed hollywood band DIRTY TRICKS.

1987: I played in San Diego band XTACY, which was originally formed in 1986: as INFINITY, but the original nucleus of that band was started in 1983: when I met ALFONSO GOMEZ in guitar class in 7th grade. DEF LEPPARD,RATT,QUIET RIOT and MOTLEY CRUE all came out at about the same time and I was never the same after that.haha.

1979: My very first performance.I sang the song COWARD OF THE COUNTY by KENNY RODGERS in the talent show.

To sum it all up, I have literally played thousands of shows from the PLAYBOY MANSION to the New York punk club C.B.G.B.'s and have been a student of music almost all my life and the basic goal is to keep improving until I die just to see how good I'll be when I'm 120. If you don't think I'm good yet,,,wait,,,, I'm still practicing.
