this seems deliberately edited and typical of the BBC. The burning of Cork? Atrocities if the Black and Tans? A cease fire? Convenient to brush over these bits? You can't tell this story without explaining how the treaty really happened!

There are a lot of references to Ireland in these veses: Meath, the Bann etc. The ties to Ulaidh and the O'Neills were obviously still well recognised.
