The title of the film is based on a real set of awards given to people who inadvertently "help" natural selection by acts of sheer stupidity that result in their removal from the gene pool, either by their death or any other act that makes them incapable of reproducing.

To celebrate the release of The Darwin Awards on DVD on June 25th 2007, Icon Home Entertainment in conjunction with leading Digital Agency New Media Maze, have teamed up with YouTube and are looking for the ultimate failed Darwin Award! We want YOU to choose which video you think is the most exciting, daring and utterly stupid to get your vote. Add your approval for your favourite video in the comments below. The video with the biggest thumbs-up will get their clip premiered on FHM.TV. But that's not all; the winning clip will also win a brand new R-09 portable recording device www.myr09.com courtesy of those fab folk at Edirol.

If you've ever fancied yourself as a budding Director or maybe see yourself as one of life's victims then present your clip here! It's the competition everyone is dying to enter.

So what do you have to do?

Simply record yourself either by mobile or camcorder acting out your own 'Darwin Award' scenario. Make sure that in your attempt, no matter how wacky or fatal it may appear that you don't actually die as it's a 'Failed Darwin Award' attempt. Get it? and add it to your own Youtube page. Then drop us a message (click "send message" at the bottom of this page) with your name, address, D.O.B., contact telephone number and most importantly attach your chosen entry. We'll then add your entry to our page, simple as that!

The best spoof attempt will be premiered online on FHM.TV. As well as winning a brand new R-09 portable recording device courtesy of those fab folk at Edirol.
