The Creatives Project (TCP) is the face and voice of: The Creatives Community Housing Project (CCHP)
While putting a "roof over artists' heads," the Project will promote creative camaraderie, provide educational & networking opportunities, and establish an artist mentoring program with at-risk youth.
TCP and CCHP are ultimately dedicated to enabling individuals to fulfill their paths as practicing artists while strengthening the community through arts based outreach.
Begun in Atlanta as a photo-documentary project, the organization has grown beyond the city's boundaries. TCP will continue using its documentary series to introduce artists to new audiences, raise operating funds, and educate the public about the mission and goals of CCHP:
*to foster sense of community, while celebrating and elevating creativity
*to provide an environment in which creatives can fulfill career goals
*to develop program enabling artists to give back through youth outreach
*to create an ongoing portrait archive of the nations creative heartbeat
*to support artists' exposure and access to new audiences nationwide
Over the past three years we have successfully created 70 intimate portraits of creative individuals nationwide as a visual tool to gain community support through events, exhibitions, and fundraisers to help establish TCP and CCHP as a non profits. We are currently going through the process of obtaining 501(c)3 status.
