My sister moved from UK to Askilje, Vasterbotten to live and run a camping site. She loves it, but very cold in the winter. This year so far -40C.

If it's 'solid' goal, how the hell do they fit in all the electronic components? Gold Plated, overpriced.

The VC10 took me to several conflicts and one brought me home from Uruguay after being injured in the Falklands conflict. A very comforting aircraft to be in - just feels very dependable and reliable. That's probably why the RAF kept them in service for so long.

The best armoured tank is the one that offers it's crew the best protection. Proven in combat (unlike many other so called 'great' tanks), the Challenger 2 is the only combat proven tank not to have had a crewman killed by enemy fire - although some crew have suffered injuries.

@CNCmachiningisfun I fly RC Helicopters (also have 9hrs in a R22). Never met a full size only pilot who can fly my Trex 600 without a buddy lead - especially 'nose in'.

Impressive and pushing the limits of the a/c and pilots - especially the last one - looked a bit hard on the airframe.

Also, don't assume everyone who instructs on R22's can perform those manoeuvres. Timing has to be perfect, with no margin for errors.

@em745aa So. Tell me why several armed forces are developing UACV's (different to UAV's) - specifically to attack SAM sites?

Remember just because these are 'unmanned', doesn't mean they are not controlled by humans. Many UACV's are highly agile and are not limited by a humans ability to handle...

iPhone 4S is physically different. Also iMessage is not the same as a txt message - it uses Apples iMessage service, so only needs WiFi. But because of this you can only use iMessage between iCloud/iMessage users with iPhones (iOS5).

That's a severe 'wing drop' if the stall is introduced with out any rudder input. Led to believe the PC12 was pretty docile.

If you drive at an appropriate speed, braking is not an issue with all season tyres. Most people would benefit from winter tyres more for grip. However, I see sales of them going through the roof... that almost guarantees a mild winter.

Idiot. Saw a guy do a similar thing with a student at Bournemouth in UK in early 90's in a R22. Pilot/Instructor had 10k+ hours.

He killed himself and another student a week later doing the very same thing.
