About Me:
The band playing the authentic BOOM-CHICKA-BOOM sound appears alternatively as a trio similar to 'The Tennessee Two' in the 50s with acoustic guitar, telecaster and upright bass; or with drums as a quartet, just as 'The Tennessee Three' performed in the 60s. The repertoire includes all the master's classic hits [e.g. 'Hey! Porter', 'Folsom Prison Blues', 'I Walk The Line', 'A Boy Named Sue', 'Ring Of Fire', '(Ghost) Riders In The Sky'] - All as part of a colourful show, full of original rhythm and style.
The songs from Johnny Cash's late 90s period, the so-called AMERICAN RECORDINGS ['The Man Comes Around', 'Hurt', 'Ain't No Grave' etc.] form part of a special acoustic homage, featuring guitar, piano and mandolin.
On demand, "guest appearances" of former companions like June Carter, Bob Dylan or Carl Perkins may be booked, as well as two female background singers, emulating the 'Carter Family' choir, and dobro player Sully M. Garvey, who gives the band's sound a touch of Nashville.
The 'Man in Black' sure would have been damn proud of these guys!
