Hi everyone - I'm Jess, and this is my Blue Kitchen. Up till last wednesday it used to be my Dingy's 70's Camel Coulored Kitchen - but that didn't sound as cool.. So i painted it blue. I like blue. Blue's hot.
So anyway - why did I decide to start this video blog?
Firstly - I always wanted to write a personal recipe book, but I'm just too lazy to sit down and write them. I actually went out to buy the fanciest recipe book with all sorts of exciting page dividers and envelopes, got home, wrote 3 recipes, and 50 pages with titles of recipes. That was over 2 years ago and the pages are still blank. Writing a diary is so 5 years ago anyways - now youtube is the place to be.
Secondly - Whenever I cook for friends they always want to know how I make the food. And I always promise that I'd show them - but have I been bothered to do it? Again, no.. so it's time to keep my word.
Lastly - to pay tribute to four great women: Mamie, my french grandma, Nonna Rene, my Italian grandma, Laura, my wonderful stepmom, and my lovely Maman.
I've been blessed to have 4 fantastic women with great culinary skills in my family, 2 from France, and 2 from Italy. I feel a little selfish keeping them all to myself, so I have decided to share their secrets with anyone that wants to listen!
