I was privileged to see Ed play with Lynyrd Skynyrd in Birmingham, AL, in '73 or '74.

Sorry to hear that. Nearly everyone who says they can't finger-pick (insert most any other technique there) simply hasn't put the time in yet. I assumed that was the case. I now do a lot of things that I once claimed I "couldn't" do.

This intro borrows heavily from 'Stone Cold Fever'.

Nice country "break" in your voice. And, surprisingly, it works well in this song. (Who'd-a-thunk-it?) I'd bet Page couldn't sing it and play it at the same time.

@webgibs I have to second that. But I also want to clarify: It's Rockin' the Fillmore. Or even more correctly, Performance / Rockin' the Fillmore. I would not want folks to get confused and miss out on one of the best live albums of my generation.

One of the best songs on this album, 'The Wall', seems to be missing. Please remedy this situation.

More like 'Very Scared Cat'. It is somewhat likely that the cat had been abused in the past, but this was not abuse. I suspect this is a feral cat, and they can be extremely fearful of humans, even without a history of abuse.

This is actually a track called 'Extension on One Chord'', which is sandwiched between parts 1 and 2 of 'I Can't Keep from Cryin' Sometimes'. I recommend the album 'Recorded Live' for the best version of this. He also does a bit of these same riffs in 'Night of the Guitars'. It's here on YouTube.

@jonnyb69able It was J.D. Souther. I could just about hear it in my head, but I had to look it up to be sure. I miss all the old album covers I used to have. They had all the information. J.D. also does 'Prisoner in Disguise' with her, among others. I think I'll try to find that one now........

@atimelcin The first one is 'People Get Ready', written by Curtis Mayfield and recorded by The Impressions about 1965. The second is 'I Ain't Superstitious', written by Willie Dixon and first recorded by Howlin' Wolf in 1961.
