@aelix56 There's a stickied post that just went up yesterday in the CK2 forum that is a guide on things like research and taxes. The part on research helped me a lot (it was the area I understood least).

@captnduck Figured it out. Turns out the site that hosts the sound files had a tiff with the soundsense people. You have to get the new address from the forum (both the LNP and Soundsense threads have it posted) and paste it into one of the xml files.

Tech screen has its own map mode. Hit the little buttons next to the techs, and it'll show you the level of that tech for every province in the world. Very handy if you want to steal a certain tech, you can tell where it's highest (typically Byzantium or Muslim states at game start)
