What I enjoy most with this guy is you can tell he's a massive fan first and foremost. You have to really know and appreciate a voice to get an impression so accurate and I bet like me he grew up loving all these great singers he pays homage to so affectionately.

Was gonna put a comment up about the Amboy Dukes clip but I read yours and realised you said everything I wanted to say..... Where did it all go wrong?

Am I the only one who feels like weeping over how great music used to be and how s**t it is now? I bet this song was cut in a garage for 10 dollars but it still moves me - along with a hundred other great one-offs from this era. (The Impalas, The Dubs, The Cleftones, The Skyliners etc...)

Why do so many mediocre and talentless people make millions from the music business while guys like this don't? These old r&b vocalists never seem to lose their touch - god bless them all!

Just read his bio and the guy's been through so much shit it's good to see him looking good and still making a living. A proper working class hero and I hope he get's his just rewards in the end.

The part of this song when the full orchestra bursts in is one of the most moving and exhilarating moments in rock n' roll from one of the most underrated bands. Who could write pop of this quality now? Sadly, no-one.
