Welcome to the Vlog of PYGMALION THEATRE . My name is Aaron O'Brien, director of Pygmalion Theatre. I am inspired to be an Artist because I believe that the creation and experience of theatre and the Arts are essential to the spiritual health and wellbeing of our society. I want the work that I create to provoke thought and action, to agitate and challenge the status quo, and to inspire change for the better. My aesthetic is driven by potent physical, visual and metaphoric imagery because I have witnessed and been affected by works of Physical Theatre, Ballet and Modern Dance, Expressionism, Circus, Butoh, Noh and Kabuki. As Amagatsu Ushio, chorographer of Sanki Juku, said, "creating unerasable impressions is our business".

Pygmalion Theatre is a dynamic and innovate theatre company creating and presenting original works of theatre and dance as well as provided theatre training to fellow artists and young people. The work of the company has a strong focus on physicality and movement poetics.

Pygmalion Theatre seeks to create new and vital works of art, exploring potent physical, visual and metaphoric images. The company aims at being innovative and distinctive in the interpretation of text and movement and text through movement. We are her to create unerasable images.
