Van Halen's "Bottoms Up" is basically a duplicate of this tune. Same key, same progression, similar intro.

That is a lot of reverb. Edward didn't really like reverb. You can't really hear the Echoplex. so he has the level set really low and is using it to get the preamp effect on his signal. When he plays live u can hear the slight slap back though.

@smoothjazzudilevy I have a version of the Parker book, but its a smaller book, its not the Omni. But it takes me forever to put the music notes into comfortable fingerings.

The run right after the opening bends, I have a transcription that's way different. What positions and notes are u playing it?

Great version. Alex drum lines always have the forward driving motion feel. Especially here. I like how Dave actually sings like the record, or tries too anyways.

@RicoLen1 Once u read Bret's book you'll start to see that he's a huge mark for himself. I'd like to read more wrestlers books of guys who were in the locker room when the kliq was there n give their honest opinions about Michaels.

They were always a bar band. They seemed to enjoy each other more when they played their favorite cover tunes live in the later Dave years.

This sounds pretty good for imitation analog. More tape-ish than BBD.

This time period (going back to the ladder match) is when Michaels began to establish himself as the best/most entertaining wrestler in the company.

In one match Bret did a body slam, swinging neckbreaker, DDT, double underhook suplex, bulldog, In today's WWE, you'd be lucky if both guys did half those moves.
