About this user

As a so-cal native, I skated from a very young age,from the pre-urethane era. Through the mid 70's to the mid 80's, I surfed HB and skated local ramps and skateparks. I didn't skate for 23 years. Now I am focusing more on freestyle tricks, with some bowl sessions now and then.

It's so funny, back in the days, when you skated there were no standards or rules, it was wide open creativity. Today it seems that no matter how good you are, if you don't ollie, you suck. The first question every skater kid asks me is "can you ollie?". Many kids today are way too focused on ollies and close thier minds to the endless possibilities of skating. Thats my opinion = )
