I feel that the original and the covers convey 2 different meanings. This version is more religious in setting with the choir and conveys praise, while the covers are more emotional and melancholy. Both are good and relevant interpretations.

Honestly did not like the sax players. They epitomize all the annoying things sax players do that piss off orchestral musicians. The scoops and unsteady intonation are what make classical musicians hate sax players. Otherwise an moving performance of a simple but powerful piece.

I like that this version has resonance while some others seem thuddy and lose the eerie sense that the piece gives
