As a magician I would describe my style as "Naturalistic"(if that's a word, though I'd argue that it is now) in other words I prefer to avoid unusual props in my performances. I use playing cards, ropes, newspaper, bowls, and other ordinary items, as opposed to fancy boxes and tubes that have no purpose outside of a magic show. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just prefer to do extraordinary things with ordinary objects
