@starwalker6798, two things to point out. Scriabin did hear Horowitz in his lifetime - Horowitz was interviewed on the subject; also check the Faubion Bowers bio of Scriabin.
Regarding Rach 3 - have to contest that. HOROWITZ said that Rach said that Horowitz played it better. No one else can ...

Nicely done! A friend of mine was working on this at the same time as Chopin's g minor ballade, and swore that this one was harder.
The opening is a little fast for my taste, but then that diabolical speed does set off the slower passages very nicely... This really is one of the best recording...

The piece is by Richard Strauss - it's the introduction to "Also Sprach Zarathustra." Famously used in the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey.

re: Fiddler On the Roof - actually a number of tunes for the musical were taken from genuine Jewish folk music. Likewise, Mahler was borrowing very consciously from Kletzmer music.
