QUESTION.....what the hell happened to us? Somehow we've managed to go from Tupac to Soulja Boy, the Fugees broke up, Ludacris cut his braids and got paid so he's done spittin that shit, and Detox STILL isn't here.
Babies are havin babies because they flaunt at 13 and these little niggaz wont wrap it up.
My grandpa always told me "you can tell alot about a man from his handshake"...and now I know exactly what he meant. Where's the loyalty? And just when did "keepin it real" turn into a cliche used by the fakest fools on the block?? Am I my brother's keeper?
Moving on.....what happened to our country? We BROKE!! The rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and some fat old white rich congressman is somewhere right now counting his money, laughin, and thinkin "USA...I love this game."
But wait....whatever happened to the cool chick? I mean the sexy, independent, cool, calm & collected, REAL woman, who aint about the drama, bullshit, or girly little games. What happened to the girl who wants to just kick back with her man, smoke a blunt, listen to somethin and just chill? And what happened to that "MAN" that's supposed to be there with her? The one that doesnt realize he has a good thing. The one that runs around tellin his homies how down he is, but wont even step up and be a man for his woman. When did the "hoes" start gettin treated better than the women?
What happened to the truth? I remember when "word" was worth somethin.
And what's the deal with all these young cats tryin to show out and look hard all the time? The loudest one in the room is usually the weakest one in the room, and you aint hard nigga, lay off the superman juice. I'm a lover, not a fighter, and I believe in mindin my own until fucked with, but if you take my kindness for weakness I'll throw hands in a heartbeat, dont let the smile fool ya. And if you gotta fight..fuckin fight! Dont stand around talkin mess for an hour knowing the whole time it's really a bluff, haha what is that about??
I'd love to have all the answers, maybe I'll pick 'um up along the way, but for now I'mma be the absolute best at bein me...maybe the world will follow suit.
