Yes, its stolen from old American black blues. Many of the "British Invasion" bands covered songs from this era in music. If you listen carefully to the slide he plays you can kinda hear where Page's version came from.

Very interesting to hear the construction sessions of this classic Zep tune.... Sounds to me like JPJ was the main contributor of the basic riff in the song. And we always thought that Page was the wizard behind all of those riffs....

Bonzo has my vote for the best blues/rock drummer. But as drummers go today, Neil Peart is by far the best I've seen or heard. He combines SOOO many different styles into a cohesive and entertaining rhythm that he can't be matched. Its no wonder why hes called "The Professor"....
