Yes, its stolen from old American black blues. Many of the "British Invasion" bands covered songs from this era in music. If you listen carefully to the slide he plays you can kinda hear where Page's version came from.

Bonzo has my vote for the best blues/rock drummer. But as drummers go today, Neil Peart is by far the best I've seen or heard. He combines SOOO many different styles into a cohesive and entertaining rhythm that he can't be matched. Its no wonder why hes called "The Professor"....
