I started learning piano at the end of November 2009. As of April 2011 I've been playing piano for a total of one year. I have a very awesome piano teacher and I have lessons with her once every week. She is truly amazing and I am so grateful to her for opening the doors to the world of music with her guidance, never-ending enthusiasm and support.
I had to stop playing piano from June to December 2010 due to hand pains. I did a series of stupid things which damaged them and I ignored the pain and practiced through it for 3 months. Now I am still fighting it but generally it's much better although it limits my practice hours severely. With that said, I do try to squeeze in 2 hours every day with one day of rest per week. It's sufficient for a beginner. I've decided that I need to have piano in my life with or without the pain.
