Horse person. Ridden since I was 11 years. Started off with a horse that was too much for me and I had to grit my teeth and learn fast. From her, I learned every bad thing that a horse can do to annoy, hurt, frustrate and scare a human. I went on to successfully compete her in One Day Events, she won the dressage most times. Hunted to hounds, she jumped hedges and fences, we beacme a team. I had to sell her when I was 17 and my legs were too long for her and it was like selling my sister, best friend, confidante. I went on to become an instructor, taught a lot of children to ride, gave lessons at my farm on my childrens good ponies, did straight dressage, then hunted to hounds again. Along the way I picked up on Natural Horsemanship and what a difference that made. Understanding the horses way of thinking and seeing things changes everything. To have the love and trust of a horse is a wondrous thing.
