This breaks my heart. The firefighters actually made it up to the 78th floor of the South Tower, to the impact zone, but sadly the tower collapsed before they could go any higher. I hope she and the others trapped there went quickly. RIP

I agree I wish they had rebuilt the towers only stronger, better, and taller, but something is better than nothing and the new 1wtc will be as tall as the towers were. I'm not a fan of Seasons 6-8, aka the "color" episodes without Barney Fife...I think Andy did seem meaner and less patient in the last seasons, partly because he was burnt out maybe, partly because he just wasn't able to be his usual, easy going self without Barney...Barney and Andy's interaction...

Barney was right, I have to say. In later episodes, Helen becomes more and more shrewish and jealous and possessive. I don't know what Andy saw in her, but oh well. Andy should have listened to his old pal Barney!

Seasons 1-5 were the classic b&w seasons... I never liked the color seasons. The characters were so lame, Howard Sprague, Warren, Emmet, yuck!! After Barney Fife left, the show just was never the same. This new deputy was a lousy attempt at replicating the comedic genius that was Fife.

The show just wasn't the same when Don Knotts (Barney) left. It's like there are two different shows, the classic black and white ones, from 1960-65, and the last three color seasons without Barney. The show just lost a big part of its humor and soul when he left.

This was an impressive parade for the 70th anniversary of the 1917 Revolution. The weather looks decent, the best since 1983 which was a sunny, clear day.

Great parade. Suslov was the ideology chief who would die in 1982, same year as Brezhnev. The weather here looks to be the worst of any of the November 7 parades, snowy, dark, and very cold. The 1974 and 1981 parades were very wet and rainy but not snowy.

Impressive parade! Reminds me of some of the Soviet parades of the old days. The 2019 parade should be pretty amazing. I wonder though, why they don't do this each year as the Soviets did, only every 10 years?

Yes this was Chernenko's last parade, he was very ill here. He died in March, 1985. Interesting little bit of trivia.... most of these parades were on dark, overcast days. However, the November 7, 1982 and November 7, 1983 parades were both on bright sunny days.
