Nowadays they give Grammy's and other awards to singers who can't compare to this lady and her superb voice. Listen to her stuff with Kenton, Midnight Sun especially, and you'll understand what I mean.

Every night I listen to wonderful music performed like this and I am dismayed at what today's generations consider "music". True talent has given way to screaming freaks and loudness.

Wow. This man's voice is superb. He's in the league with Joe Williams and Billy Ecktstien. The B3 and the baritone sax blend in with his voice beautifully.

Y'know, there is a baritone in there. I think it's Fred Ford. Whatever, she is one of the best blues singers ever. Her version of Hound Dog, compared to Elvis', is the real stuff.

These two men and their musical genius have given so much to the musical history of American music. My heart bleeds at their passing, but my ears and my soul rejoice at the wondrous sounds that they have left behind. Because of them I smile through my tears.
