For Batman to not save Ra's is very uncharacteristic to him; Batman always saves the bad guy, to the point where it becomes annoying. I am really unhappy about how ruthless Nolan portrayed his Batman; even when he directs a gun at some thug's foot, and in TDK when he throws Maroni out the window....
