I got serious about playing again about 4 years ago after being away from it for many, many years.

I'm not what you'd call technical by any means, but I have a lot of fun playing. Its a great stress reliever and a good way to stay in shape.

I've learned a lot from other drummers within the YouTube community and I make the videos presented here to promote the bands I've played with, to be a help to those who might be interested in learning to play as well as to demonstrate how much fun it is to play. If you've ever thought about it, just do it!

I've always tried to play a song as close as possible to the original track without trying to imitate the original drummers exact style (if that makes any sense). I believe drumming is open to interpretation and that every drummer has his or her own idea of what to do and when to do it in any given song or situation. Thats what makes us unique.

Lastly, I get a comment from time to time (usually from some young snot nose guitar hero playing know it all) about the gloves I wear, so here's the deal.....I have really, really dry hands. I tried stick tape and hated it. I wear the gloves because they help me grip the sticks, not because I think they're cool or for any other reason. But hey, a lot of really cool nationally famous drummers wear em too!
