Back in the 1980s, Minneapolis was experiencing a surge in musical talent which became known as the "Minneapolis sound". eXXtra Presents was a cable television program created & produced by Larry Hutchinson "Hutch" & Mark Neuman-Scott, and showcased much of the talent of the day back then. The show also received a 1987 Hometown USA Video Festival Award from the National Federation of Local Cable Programmers as the BEST music show in the country!
