@sanman312 guitar george obviously refers to a very talented jazz guitarist. if you look at jazz guitar, it has the most difficult chord progressions you'll find (though its unusual that guitar george doesn't want to make it cry or swoon since jazz is all about improvisation)

Slash is talented. I think he's trashy, but he has talent, it's just gross sounding in my opinion. MK is more tasteful by all means. Probably MK is a little more talented too.

I've always respected Knopfler (huge Clapton fan, that's what drew me here), but I should get more into Knopfler's stuff. It's pretty damn good.

I'm not sure I like the solo. It SOUNDS good, but there's something in the attitude missing. Aside from that, who all is this? Sounds/looks like Tom Petty on vocals, in which case, the bad attitude on the solo would be made up for by the singer.

Neil Young (CSN&Y as well) is so cool. This song is just great.

@riseagan There's a key change halfway through. I think it would be cool if they played them in the same key, though...and then had a harmonica duel.

Of course you have to love Dylan's original version. He rocked (or folked) out on the harmonica, but Jimi's, The Dead's, And Neil Young's versions have all been AMAZING as well.

@MichaelPalinFan2008 Mick Taylor's stuff was just so FLUID. It was amazing. I mean, Keith will always be my favorite Stone, but Mick T. was a phenomenal guitarist. His solos flowed and were beautiful.

George was the best songwriter.

I think we all appreciate this because Phish is for real and pure feeling and talent. they are covering a masterpiece written by George Harrison and performed by the Beatles with Clapton. That was an amazing combination of feeling and talent as well. it's just a rocker's salute to the predecessor...
