Luke and the Apostles. The Ugly Ducklings. McKenna Mendelson Mainline. Diamondback. Downchild. All legendary Canadian bands and all with one thing in common -- the equally legendary slide guitar player, Mike McKenna. 

Mike has been a fixture of the Toronto rock music scene since its dawn in the early 1960s. Best known for his great guitar work work with the legendary Toronto band, McKenna Mendelson Mainline (who opened for John Lee Hooker, Canned Heat, Buddy Guy and Jeff Beck among others), Mike currently headlines the Mike McKenna Band and continues to play the club circuit in central / south western Ontario on a regular basis.

He is also performing and recording with a reformed Diamondback Band from whom a long overdue cd is soon to be released.
