I know exactly how you feel; I flipped out too, when I read Ned's death scene in the book. However, I kept reading to the end and went on with the rest of the series, and am I glad that I did.

@ForceMaximus84 True. Plus I think Padme is to blame almost as much, since she put Jar Jar in charge in the first place. Which was such a stupid decision it almost makes my head explode. I mean, didn't she travel with Jar Jar in the first movie? So she knows exactly what he's like.
