Hello

The main threat to whales is not hunting. It is pollution. The whales of the Yangtze are all dying. China is surrounded by dead zones because of pollution. Only jellyfish can live there. But American consumers have a huge appetite for cheap junk from China. Within one year, it will be filling American landfills because Walmart designs it to break after the guarantee period. That selfish consumer society pollutes double Japan per capital.

What happens when polluting industries find themselves surrounded by housing development? People get sick, the companies won't move. This is the situation in Kilburn, South Australia, right now.

I really agree with what you two are doing. I'm 17 and it's great to see young women stepping up and being proactive. I hope that the media will grab onto your good cause, persistence is key.
Best Wishes from Seattle, WA, US
Cheers! ~Mary
