The biggest issue is with out the chlorine the filter is ineffective against bacteria etc.... Granted the Brita filter will remove the chlorine but The chlorine typically requires a 20 minute contact time which this filter will not give. So this is a good placebo at best.

If you measured on the ground then it is less then 400 linear meters. There was a time when he was not visiable in a revine so there seems to be a lot of up and down. Use a GPS, granted there is error in the GPS system, and see how much further it is. Just an old surveyors input.

I had that exact same thing happen to me. My eyebrows still havent grown back, LOL.
It would be helpful if you got a 3 to 4 foot section of copper pipe to use to help blow your fire iwht. A friend showed me and it is a simple idea that really helps.
