Hey. Hows it going? My name is Tim Burke. Im 18 years old. Im a Philadelphia native and Ive been playing guitar, singing and writing my own music since I was about 13 years old. Im trying to go to college to be a music producer. Right now Im working at a pediatricians office filing papers. Exciting right? As far as I could remember Ive based my future on doing something with my music. There was no other way around it. I never expected The Guns of August to be anything more than a hobby. I always used to write songs by myself when something happened in my life I wanted to express. In past bands I used to write about whatever sounded good. With Guns I write about major experiences. I dont write music, I spill my guts out on paper and project it using the only thing I know. Some people go to therapy sessions or cry their eyes out but Ive learned to channel my emotions. If theres anything I know, its that Im good at music and if there's one thing Im better at then music, its portraying these emotions into something that makes people happy.
