@WJP004 also don't use cardboard to mix filler bro it absorbs the resins in the filler. Use a clean hunk of plastic or glass or something.

@happymark1805 didn't disagree my point was body filler (i don't use bondo i buy from body shop supply stores) is very strong. As you pointed out no flex (and won't really stick to plastic incidentally) but lots of strength. There are marine grade fillers tho i don't know how good they are.

as far as the mileage is concerned in a fuel injected vehicle with the kit the difference will be very low. With a carb the mileage will vary depending on how good you are at getting the right fuel air mixture. Over all you burn more ethanol and get more power.
