About this user
I am a professional hater. My hating is primarily a creative outlet for me. My style generally consists of extreme obscenity/vulgarity mixed with over the top insults. I occasionally write a "hate-filled" rant now and then. However, I don't care for racial slurs or such and find them boring. I do confess that I indulge in the guilty pleasure of homophobic comments, but I try to keep the language as colorful and extreme as I can (i.e. not just say "that's gay".) If you are of decent intelligence you will notice that my insults are generally way too extreme to take seriously.*
However, those of us who are professional haters always have some concerns.
Do some people take our words too seriously and do they suffer because of it?
I personally try to address this issue by purposely choosing videos that:
- Already have a vigorous flame war going on
- Are very popular - and the comments are all generally positive (this makes it clear that I'm just a hater-and also generally insures that the makers already have strong sense positive validation of their video)
Of course there this issue is still unresolved, and we haters must continue to address it seriously.
*I would also like to state that there are times I use my hater persona to deliver actual criticism to a video that I have an issue with. I usually find myself disliking videos that are:
- pushing a corrupt agenda by warping facts (this includes all sides of the political spectrum)
- Banal, and of appalling quality (of course I take age as well as other mitigating factors into consideration)
- Classic scenes of movies that have stupid or unnecessary music added. (Including those obnoxious "tribute" movies - *puke*)
This guide is by no means all inclusive - but if you get a hateful comment from me, consider it a compliment.
In real life I am actually a generally positive person...and I love you all. And by love I mean hate.
