I have ran anything ranging from pure E85 to pure 87 octane unleaded, and any combination in between (depending where I fill up, not all stations offer E85) in my 1990 Ford Escort fuel injection. I did not reset the computer. I have done this for two years with no problem. NOTE: I do not recomend this in very cold climates due to difficult starting. After the vehicle is warm it runs fine. But yes, anything made after 1980 can be ran on ethanol, even 95%. The higher compression engine you have the better ethanol is as a fuel. I have heard some complain about injectores clogging after running ethanol. Ethanol is a solvent that will clean grime off components, this grime can build up in the injectores causing failure. My car is throttle body injected and have not had any problems with this. Also, expect a loss in fuel economy with ethanol. But at a cheaper price and environmentally friendly, I choose to use ethanol. Hope this helped.

I saw a post of yours regarding e85. So you are saying that I can put e85 in my car without a computer kit? Also if I made my own ethanol (95%), drained the car of gas it would be fine? Should I disconnect the battery so that the memory resets?
