Adventuring. With monsters. And weird trap things. There's not really any spoilers in this except for showing you all the levels and some puzzles. The very very end might count as a spoiler, but if you don't know what's going on, then you won't know what's going on.
Eh, so my sister and I played Trine 2 on the hardest difficulty (hard), and I made the highlights of our failures into a nice little montage. I'll let you figure out who is who, but I was using the keyboard, and she used a controller.
I didn't realize I could move portals up and down with a lever that only has animations for left and right, so I think we made whole lot of puzzles a lot harder than they should have been. But hey, we had fun, and that's what counts!
I wondered what the best order would be to put the clips in. I finally decided to go chronologically, which makes the audio transitions a big pain (one song is playing then BAM you're in the middle of a different song). The other way I had considered was organizing the clips with regards to the music that was playing (or lack thereof). But I decided to put the clips in chronological order (in terms of what came before what). Only 2 clips are out of order, one because it doesn't really matter and it sounds good, and another because it looks like it's in chronological order if I don't put it in chronological order. In short: clips are in chronological order.
After ending up with the finished video, I kept feeling like something was missing. The video was really silent at times. So I added some more of Trine 2's awesome music into the video! I added a total of 3 different songs, and it shouldn't be too hard to figure out where, since they're the only parts of the video that has the same style of music playing for more than 30 seconds or so. (Trine 2 has some really addicting music, in my opinion).
Trine 2 is a really, really fun game to play (especially with someone else in the same room). It's made for casual gamers, so there's no real chance at raging in this game; it's all laughs. Also, it appears that it supports multiple keyboards and mice, so you don't have to use controllers! Trine 2 also has some really stunning visuals. Yeah, it's not Crysis, but that's part of the point. For a 2D game, it has great 3Dness. Except for this one part where my sister pointed out there was a ladder in the background that we should totally be able to use to get up to the second floor!
Overall, it took 8 hours to beat the game on hard on our first run through (not a speedrun; we tried getting everything there was to get). It was 8 very enjoyable hours.
There may be hope for a sequel in this series; it might involve my sister, me, and a combination of two of my other friends (in real life).
Thanks for the Christmas gift, Bansic!
