@PoVerslaWe Boring? Are you asleep? This guy plays polyrhythms with one hand that 99% of drummers can't do with all four limbs (including me, and I've been drumming for over 40 years).

I learned a lot of drumming technique from Portnoy's videos, but I think Mangini has improved Dream Theater. His style and personality totally fit in, and the addition of drum solos into the lineup is cool (but I'm biased, as I am a drummer). Fans seem to like it overall, so who's to argue with...

Someone said the DT show just doesn't have the same energy without Portnoy? Were you asleep or on Valium or something? For the band to have more energy, their heads would have to explode or something... I haven't seen Myung this alive in years, and Mangini nails every Portnoy beat and then some....

Amazing drumming! He even breaks a drumstick at 4:06 and never misses a beat. I think Mangini has shown a remarkable amount of musicianship in learning Dream Theater's material, all while staying faithful to the way Portnoy played it. Definitely looking forward to the new album!

Hey, it's a post of a cool moment, it's the feeling of the moment that counts! Dream Theater is doing great on tour, and all the videos I have seen so far show that. Some are great, some not so great, but it all captures the feeling of the moment. Thanks for sharing!
