Granted the Lebanese Accomplishment Medal, the soprano Tania Kassis defends the cultural diversity as well as the religious dialogues. She sang in several countries among them Canada and made several concerts tour in Latin America taking her to Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, ect... She also paid a tribute to Gibran Khalil Gibran in New York and at the UNESCO Palace of Paris next to the famous french singer Francis Lalanne.
She was recently very appreciated for her famous Islamo-Christian AVE (an Ave Maria at sound of the Muezzin "Allah Akbar") that have been heard by more than 113,000 persons on Youtube and with a single that is being sold worldwide.
Tania Kassis took part in the opening ceremony of the VIth Francophone Games in Beirut where she sang her mesmerizing "Islamo-Christian AVE " - a powerful call for peace and reconciliation. Her sublime voice captured an audience of 30,000 persons. In February 2010 she performed it at the Martyr Square in front of more than 200,000 persons and Pope Benoît XVI asked the Prime Minister of Lebanon to send him a copy of this common prayer.
Tania Kassis released two CDs in 2010: a single including the "Islamo-Christian AVE" and her latest "Oriental Colors" including 12 songs and 2 bonus tracks in collaboration with famous Lebanese and international composers and arrangers like Elias Rahbani, Michel Fadel, Fabrice Mantegna and DJ Said Mrad. Tania's versatility and style have traveled beyond the earthy boundaries of mankind. It transcended the language of wars and division.
