This is not fake - this recording is taken from the so-called 'Peter Sellers Tape', a tape made by Ringo for actor Peter Sellers of rough mono mixes from what would become the 'White Album'. Google 'Peter Sellers Tape' - several sites list the various mix differences.

This always reminds me of the movie 'The Hindenburg' ; it is played by a band as the airship leaves Germany on what will be its final voyage. Quite strong, stirring music.

This was recorded during the Let It Be sessions, specifically it was taped on Jan. 31, 1969 (as listed in the book 'The Unreleased Beatles')

Its a group called the Beatniks.

No, is not from Anthology - its not the Beatles, but the Beatniks from a cover album of songs the Beatles wrote but never performed. They did the tracks in the style the Beatles would have. They're pretty good!

This song was actually attempted first by The Monkees for their 'Headquarters' LP and although they completed a backing track the vocals were never added. Their take is available on the 3 CD set 'Headquarters Sessions'.

On the recent 'Birds Bees & Monkees' 3 CD set there are two previously unreleased takes of this song. Same backing track on both, but one is sung by Davy instead of Mike. Both are cool, laid back versions and every fan should hear them.

Made me think of my own mother's passing. Very beautiful tribute.
