A Cop's job is to serve and protect, part of that is to reinforce laws made by politics/ community. So in this case he was just doing his job, it is not up to a cop to question the law just to up hold it. So instead of giving Cops a hard time because you disagree with a law, why don't you take it...

That's usually what a meteorite crater looks like after 10's to 100's of years later... trees and other vegetation grows back and at the center, bodies of water can form, but not all the time... Very cool find!
