Take One School of Mass Communication operates under the Guru Dronacharya Educational Society. This society is a registered body with the Registrar of Societies. Goverment of National Capital of Delhi. The School is a study center of The Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar established by an Act of Legislature of Haryana State on October 20, 1995 (Haryana Act 17 of 1995) to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education with focus on new frontiers of technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non-conventional energy sources and management studies, and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields. It was formally inaugurated on 1st November, 1995. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, a saint and environmentalist of 15th century.
The University Grant Commission recognized this University under Section 2(F) for the recognition of degrees on 11.1.1996 and under Section 12(B) of the U.G.C. Act for Central assistance on 7.2.1997.
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous organization of the UGC has accredited this University with 'A' Grade (Institutional Score 85%) in 2002 for a period of five years..
