So, "pt.1" was with 38.4kbps and now with 9.6kbps, it somehow works better. And this time, I've tried running "lcdproc" on top of "LCDd".

The unit has a very similar command set to that of "POS_Epson" defined in "serialPOS" driver, and this is as far as I got it to work.
