The key objective of OECD work on trade is to support a strong, rules-based multilateral trading system that will maintain the momentum for further trade liberalisation, while contributing to rising standards of living and sustainable development. OECD also analyses food, agriculture and fisheries issues and provides advice to governments on practical and innovative options for policy reform and trade liberalisation as well as facilitating the negotiation of international rules on official export credits. A key element of the work tracks and measures subsidies, support and protection to agriculture.
