About Me:
Canadian champion in Figure Skating, Gymnastics and a Professional dancer, Sylvana excels at many different sports.
Since the age of 13, she has been performing with many different bands, both (cover-band‟s and original), touring in Quebec.
Winning different beauty pageants, appearing in commercials, magazines, TV Shows and doing many radio interviews, Sylvana has been doing everything to showcase herself as a prominent talent...!!!
In 1999 she joined an all-girl vocal group called "INFINI-T and signed with independent label Level Music/Station 12 for two albums, later to be signed to EMI International.
The first album entitled ‟2000...A L‟Infini‟, sharing both English and French songs, enjoyed success selling up to 70,000 units in Quebec alone, and off this album were three top ten hits, two of which were number 1. Three music videos were released from this album and spun regularly on Musique Plus and Much Music.
The band performed on several French TV shows such as La Fureur and Le Point J and performed live all over Quebec and Ontario in front of thousands of their fans, including festival shows with crowds ranging from 10,000 to 30,000 people. They shared the stage with Quebec artists such as Karl Wolf, Dan Bigras, Laurence Jalbert, Luce Dufault, Jacynthe, and La Chicane and many others...
The second album entitled „Lethal‟, released one year later, was launched live on Musique Plus with a half hour live set and interview before taking it to Toronto where they had their official launch in the English market at The Horse Shoe . Two music videos were released off of this album, which also had regular airplay on Much Music and Musique Plus and made it to the top 10 charts.
They performed live on shows such as „Open Mike With Mike Bullard‟, „Canada AM‟, and Much Music‟s „Electric Circus‟ and had several radio and TV interviews with stations such as KISS, Z103, CTV „E-Now‟, Much Music‟s „French Kiss‟, CFTO ET News, CFMT „NiteLife‟, etc.
Infini-T‟s guest appearance (along with Mad TV‟s Will Sasso and Sylvester Stallone‟s mother Jackie Stallone) on Canada‟s Open Mike was Mike Bullard‟s highest rated show of that year, exposing the band to an estimated 1.2 million viewers.
As Mr Bullard comments on Sylvana‟s beautiful, rich and soulful voice:
"I know when I see the next Dianna Ross".
After the group had disbanded in 2002, Sylvana did not give up on her music career!!!
She still pursued her career with determination, with great support from both friends and family alike.
After Infini-T, Sylvana... put together a band called Luna and toured in the United States spending three months performing in such cities as Atlantic City, and Boston, etc.
In 2005 Sylvana joined a big/major musical called Downtown.
Sylvana, has since moved onwards and upwards from her previous career with bands and is now in the process of expanding her career as a front-woman/solo-artist.
In August 2010, Sylvana White secured an International Management deal with respected UK based label -- DMMG Management & Promotions.
Since then, Sylvana has been gaining radio airplay in Canada, the USA and in the UK.
And has also been chosen as a nominee in several music awards and contests which includes the likes of... St. Helier Cider Online Music Awards, Shockwaves NME Music Awards, and has also been nominated into the YouBloom music contest/awards (where she got to the quarter-finals) with the YouBloom Contest/Awards having been founded by the infamous Bob Geldof (of the Boomtown Rats/Live Aid fame).
Sylvana‟s song "Change" has gained radio airplay acclaim by getting into the Music World Radio Top 20 Listener‟s Charts where it has spent approx. 4 months (so far!) in the Top 20 (peaking (to date!) at its highest point at number 2 in the charts (21st October 2011) and number 9 twice in the charts: 12th August 2011 and 30th September 2011).
Also, recently 3 of Sylvana‟s songs from her "Fear" (Promotion Only EP) have been included on numerous movie/film OST‟s (original movie soundtrack) for the following films/movies that have been written/directed and produced by Philip Gardiner (whom is a best-selling author and now award-winning movie/film producer/director), the movies/films include: Lady of the Dark: Genesis of the Serpent Vampire (Chemical Burn Entertainment, 2011) „which includes Sylvana‟s song -- Fear‟; One Hour To Die (Chemical Burn Entertainment, 2012) „which includes Sylvana‟s song -- Change‟; and, Men In Black: The Dark Watchers (Reality Films, 2012) „which includes Sylvana‟s song -- Lie‟.
Sylvana White is due to tour the UK in late-Summer/early-Autumn 2012.
The international future of this talented young artist is looking very bright...!!!
