About this user

Hey i'm Kathryn, situated on the Sunshine Coast, QLD Australia.
I love, live and breath horses. Riding is my passion. I have spent my whole life around horses, I started riding when I was 8 years old. I currently own three horses. Who I am very lucky to have in my life.

Lochie:
A 16.1hh Warmblood Paint horse. I bought lochie in June 2011. We got off to a rocky start, two weeks after I had bought him he went lame, I was unsure of the problem and after many vet visits we found he had an under-run sole from being kept in a very wet paddock with his previous owner. He is now on the mend and I have high hopes for this boy. My goal is to take him though the grades in showjumping and eventing. Once he is fit again we will start competing D grade showjumping and intro eventing.

Fashion:
A 15.3hh TB mare. Fashion was my first horse, I bought her as an untrained pleasure horse who had only done polo and trail riding. This horse is my baby, we learnt to jump and event together, she has taken me from jumping 60cm to 1.25m and over the years everything I have asked of her she has given me 100% plus more. This horse has a heart of gold, over the years I have formed a true bond with her. Sadly I am forced to sell her, I am now studying at uni and am unable to keep her.

Dusty:
14hh Chestnut Halflinger X Riding Pony gelding. This little man is my pocket rocket. He has had numerous placings over the years including a 1st place at state showjumping and 4th place overall. I bought this little man to train up for my sister to ride. He spent 2 years sitting in a paddock before I got him. I spent three years training him and he has come a very long way and has given confidence to a lot of young riders. He now is teaching my younger sister to ride and her aim is to be competitive on him in 2012.

I strive to improve and no matter how many times I'm knocked down I'll always get back up.
