~~~~~ Formed in 2005 by frontman Gig Michaels and drummer David Lee, SwampDaWamp is a melting
pot of their musical influences, combining to form an infectious blend of Rock, Blues, R & B and Country,
resulting in a unique rock-country edge sound distinctly their own. Whether listening to their CDs or experiencing
a live performance, fun is the name of the game with this band. While instantaneously becoming
known for their party atmosphere, high energy live shows, SwampDaWamp has amassed a rapidly
growing fan base. Their universally engaging appeal and contagious sound has touched people of all ages
and backgrounds and turned them into instant fans. SwampDaWamp has shared the stage with the likes
of .38 Special, The Marshall Tucker Band, Gary Allen, Craig Morgan, and Shooter Jennings, as well as
performing on Lynyrd Skynyrd's Simple Man Cruise in 2010 and 2011.

~~~~~ 2007 marked the debut of SwampdaWamp with the release of their self-titled CD, an infectious
blend of rock and blues with a southern flavor, all in support of Michaels' powerful, gravelly voice. It's no
wonder music lovers from rock to blues to country fans...from college age to baby-boomers, love this feel
-good, high-octane music. Since its release, "SwampdaWamp" has garnered much critical acclaim. The
CD was selected as # 11 of the TOP 23 ALBUMS OF 2007 by Eartaste.com , putting them in the company
of such artists as John Fogerty, Rickie Lee Jones, and Ray Davies. Spending 8 weeks in XM Country
Charts top ten peaking at #4. It also has received rave reviews from the UK's top music publications.
Winners in 2008 of the CMA award Best Southern Rock Band. In addition, they continue to receive radio
airplay throughout the country on college, mainstream rock & Country as well as internet and are a favorite
at XM / Sirius Satellite Radio. SwampdaWamp continues to be, at once unique and familiar, a
much sought-after but rarely achieved combination
